Summer Stone brings a Summer Glow

Green jasper stones, also known as African Turquoise, are strung together on cord joined with a loop and two little brass bells.

The summery hues bring to mind the saturated blues and greens of the sky, the sea, the grass, and the trees. They recall warm sunny days and moments of relaxation and joy.

Each necklace, with natural mottled hues of green and blue, was crafted by a woman in Thailand who has known vulnerability, exploitation, or desperation. Each woman, as she tenderly strings the beads onto the cord, enters a new phase of life. She no longer contemplates selling herself, or wonders how she will feed her children.

These are days of joy, as she builds a new future for herself and for her family. She is protected, she is empowered.
