This beautiful hand-carved ark is made from Mukwa wood, a tree that is native to southern Africa. I found this particular ark on one of my trips to visit partners in Zambia and was immediately drawn to it. I love the story of Noah’s Ark and the promise of the rainbow because it is a reminder that no matter how bad things get, God always loves us and will never abandon us. He cares about our crises.
The remarkable skill of the artisan is displayed in the intricate details of both the ark itself and the animal pairs that accompany it. Purchase this Noah’s Ark as part of your home decor or as a fun toy for a special child in your life. I bought one for my youngest grandson, and he greatly enjoyed identifying all the animals. In fact, he immediately recognized when one of the animals was missing its pair!
